In an attempt to remake my favorite app/game of all time, I decided to code a model version of Ball Blaster. Though at a much simpler level graphically, the algorithms behind my unique code allow for smooth gameplay that resembles the model it's based on.

Given a metal cantilever, a laser, an unknown magnetic surface, and a couple of small magnets, I was able to find both the relationship between cantilever 'tip' deflection and laser deflection and the magnetic force of the unidentified surface. Here's how I did it:

DownloadEver thought about trapping a mouse in a maze and seeing if it can get out? Can't say I have either, but the ingenious task at hand was to build an AI mouse that can 'learn' its way out of a given maze. Steps taken by the mouse ranged from 5,000 to 150,000, calling for a long render and lots of behind-the-scenes code.
